As a Café Staff/ Barista at Impact Hub Berlin, you will be responsible for daily café operations – from preparing drinks and food to maintaining clean working and seating areas. We are looking for an independent individual to help shape our café and atmosphere while supporting the team.

You will work alongside our enthusiastic, impact-driven Hospitality & Event Team (Coworking Team) to co-create the café concept in close alignment with the entire Impact Hub Berlin team and our community.
As a Freelancer, you will have the flexibility to contribute your own ideas, while collaborating on the café’s development and sustainable approach. The café should embody our circular mission, focusing on sustainability from procurement to preparation, and promoting eco-friendly consumption and partnerships.

Your Responsibilities:

• Open and close the café independently, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Advise customers, take orders, and prepare drinks and food.
• Support daily lunch service and larger events.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Monitor stock and manage deliveries.

Your qualifications and skills

• Strong interest about food and coffee, with a genuine enthusiasm for coffee culture and sustainable handling of food.
• Experience in hospitality and service industry, ideally as Café Staff / Barista.
• Great interpersonal communication, ability to gauge customers' preferences.
• Ability to remain calm in busy environments even in testing situations.
• An eye for detail and tidiness.
• The right to work as a freelancer in the EU, knowledge of self-employment
• We welcome Freelancer with higher experience levels, but what truly matters is a passion for hospitality and a love for food.
