Impact Hub Berlin is looking for a Hospitality & Event Lead.
At Impact Hub Berlin, we believe that great hospitality and well-executed events bring people together to drive meaningful change. As our Hospitality & Event Lead, you will play a key role in shaping both our low-waste café and our dynamic event space, ensuring seamless operations, financial sustainability, and an outstanding experience for our community and clients.
Your journey will begin with a focus on the gastro division, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in café and catering operations, supplier partnerships, and team coordination. By Q3, your role will expand to lead the event team of currently one eventmanager, where you will oversee capacity planning, financial performance, and client engagement. This phased onboarding approach ensures a structured transition, allowing you to make a strong impact in both areas.
You’ll work closely with our Event Manager, forming a strong event duo that balances operational execution and growth. This collaboration not only helps distribute responsibilities effectively but also ensures flexibility and support during peak periods. Your deliverables

Hospitality (70% of the position)
Gastro Sales & Performance Tracking
Develop and implement gastro concepts, negotiate with partner & suppliers, create catering offers, and drive sales. OKR and KPI planning and execution responsibility.
Café & Catering Operations
Oversee daily operations, coordinate logistics, and ensure smooth service execution with strong hands-on mentality.
Financial Oversight
Monitor budgets, control costs, and optimize pricing & profitability.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure high service standards, food quality, hygiene regulations, and seamless guest experiences.
Sustainability & Innovation
Drive the adoption of circular economy principles and sustainable catering practices and include innovative concepts from the IHB member community.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage, onboard, and empower the Gastro & Event team, ensuring smooth workflows and strong team culture.

Event (30% of the position)
Financial Planning & Revenue Optimization
Develop pricing models, track budgets, and analyze event profitability, and make timely decisions to ensuring financial sustainability and growth. Plan and track event sales, ensuring profitability and impact
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Provide clear financial reports, identify trends, and align strategies with business goals
Client Engagement & Retention
Oversee and support Eventmanager in strengthening customer relationships, improve the client journey, and drive long-term engagement. Supporting and covering Eventmanager in writing event offers, during their absence.
Marketing & Promotion Collaboration
Oversee and support Eventmanager in developing targeted campaigns with the marketing team to increase event bookings, attract new clients, and maximize revenue.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Align Gastro & Event strategy with marketing, finance, and other departments.
Sustainability & Process Improvement
Implement sustainable event practices and continuously optimize workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall impact.
Your qualifications and skills
- Proven track record in managing Gastro and Event operations, including budgeting, team leadership (fostering a positive and efficient work environment), and service execution.
- Strong ability to track KPIs, analyze actuals, and make strategic decisions to optimize revenue and efficiency. First experiences in OKR setting.
- Skilled in negotiating with suppliers, engaging with clients, and collaborating across departments.
- Fluent in German and English, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, partners, and team members.
- The right to work in the EU, and be based in Berlin.
